We’re delighted to announce that dates for our Wellbeing for All participatory budgeting events have now been confirmed!
Five voting events will now take place in venues across East Ayrshire, giving members of the community a say on which local groups deserve a share of £250,000 funding.
Thursday 27 October
Howard Centre, Kilmarnock, 3pm – 7pm
Friday 28 October
Annick Centre, Stewarton, 2pm – 6pm
Darvel Town Hall, 2pm – 6pm
Friday 28 October
Cumnock Town Hall, 3pm – 7pm
Dalmellington Town Hall, 3pm – 7pm
What is participatory budgeting?
In a nutshell, participatory budgeting is a way to distribute funding to projects. Local organisations and groups are invited to put themselves forward, and members of the public are invited to vote for them. Those with the most votes receive funding.
As the focus of this PB is ‘Wellbeing for All’, attendees will be asked to consider which groups will make best use of funding to support the wellbeing of people in East Ayrshire.
Participatory budgeting events are also a great way to find out about community organisations and support/services available near you. Come along and say hello!
