Foster Care Information Evening

05.08.2024

Could you help a child carry on being themselves?

When a child feels safe, loved and valued, they can focus on what really matters: exploring the world around them with confidence and allowing their true self to shine through.

Providing a predictably safe and loving home to a child or young person, often during a time of crisis or grief, is one of the most rewarding things you can do with your time. What’s more, supporting a child to thrive and enjoy their childhood means they can embrace their individuality and continue doing what they love and being who they are.

Whether you wish to provide short breaks or a full-time home for a child, we want to ask you: Could you be the person our children need?

If so, East Ayrshire Council’s fostering service wants to hear from you.

Come along to our online information event, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more and have an informal chat about all things fostering.

Simply sign up online to receive a meeting link and join us via Microsoft Teams.

Thursday 22 August, 6pm

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to talk with us now, please email fosteringandadoption@east-ayrshire.gov.uk  or call 01563 554200 (option 2) and request a fostering duty worker.

We look forward to meeting you!
