Analogue to Digital Team earns second Gold Award
Congratulations are in order for our Analogue to Digital Team, who were recently awarded the Gold 2 Digital Telecare Implementation Award from the Scottish Digital Office.
Chrys Howe, Analogue to Digital Coordinator, told us more:
“The Gold 2 certificate is presented to Local Authorities who have replaced over 50% of analogue community alarms with digital versions. Our team received this award in recognition of progress made for clients within the community of East Ayrshire.
“Our work will ensure residents have a digitally capable Community Alarm Unit, which will continue to work when analogue lines are switched off by phone providers, and that those most vulnerable in our communities can continue to live as independently as possible with the assistance of technology.”
The ongoing Analogue to Digital project has been overseen by Erik Sutherland, Head of Locality Health and Care Services, and the steering board, which consists of members from Analogue to Digital, Community Alarms, Community Equipment Stores, IT, and the Risk Management Centre.
Congratulations to all staff involved in this exciting project, which is truly life-changing for our service users and continues to go from strength to strength!
