Digital Lifelines event highlights the power of digital in recovery
This month our Alcohol and Drugs Partnership was invited to the Digital Lifelines Scotland (DLS) 2026 Conference in Edinburgh to share their work on digital inclusion for people in recovery.
Managed by DHI (Digital Health and Care Innovation) Scotland, SCVO and Simon Community, the Scottish Government-funded Digital Lifelines programme aims to improve digital connectivity and provide support through digital means for people at risk of drug-related harm.
Caroleann Maclellan, ADP Development Officer, attended the event with ADP Lead Officer, Liam Wells:
“We attended the annual Digital Lifelines Conference in Edinburgh, alongside the four Digital Zone delivery partners, and spoke about being one of the two pilot ADPs to receive funding.
“This year’s theme, ‘Connecting for Impact – Community Driven Digital Solutions for People at Risk of Drug Harm’, brought us all together at Murrayfield Stadium, where Round 4 of DLS funding was announced.
“It was great to spend the day with people dedicated to driving change and finding more compassionate and person-centred ways to support people by embedding digital inclusion into our wider systems and delivery models.
“Guest speakers gave us plenty of food for thought as we continue to develop and raise the profile of the Digital Zones Initiative across East Ayrshire with our four Zones – The Zone Recovery Support Group, The Nest Wellbeing Group in Cumnock, EACHA and Recovery Enterprises Scotland.
“A massive thank-you also to everyone who presented videos on how digital support has impacted them (although we think the Oscar for Best Performance might have to go to Billy from The Nest).”
