NEST team member shortlisted in National Diversity Awards

17.04.2026

Ayrshire organisation NEST (Neurodevelopmental Empowerment and Strategy Team) recently shared news that a member of their team has been shortlisted for a national award.

Celine Dyer, NEST’s East Ayrshire Project Coordinator, has been nominated for the Positive Role Model – Disability award at this year’s National Diversity Awards. This accolade recognises individuals helping to break down barriers and improve understanding of disability in everyday life.

Since joining the organisation in November 2023 Celine has provided support to neurodivergent individuals, families and professionals across Ayrshire, focusing on creating more inclusive, neuro-affirming environments for those who need it.

Celine, the only person from Ayrshire to be nominated in this year’s awards, shares more about her role on the National Diversity Awards blog:

“Everything I do is shaped by lived experience. I understand what it feels like to struggle, to be misunderstood and to need support that truly works.

“I am passionate about creating change so that neurodivergent and disabled individuals feel understood, included and supported in ways that genuinely meet their needs.”

The National Diversity Awards 2026 will take place on Friday 18 September at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
