Killie Community charity praised for generosity to young people
Kilmarnock Football Club’s charity, The Killie Community, recently received glowing feedback from a member of our Intensive Social Work Support Team.
Graeme Patterson, Family Support Worker, shared his appreciation after the charity again donated season tickets to enable young people in East Ayrshire to attend matches at Rugby Park:
“The Killie Community provided us with eight season tickets last year so that we could take some of our young people to the Killie games each week. They’ve now provided the season tickets for us again this year, which is amazing.
“The eight season tickets that were allocated to our team last year allowed us to support young people to attend each home game and it was a massive success.
“Most of the young people had never been to a Killie game before, or even experienced watching a game live in a stadium, so it was amazing to see their reactions and be able to give them the opportunity to experience this for the first time.
“It’s safe to say that every young person we brought along to the games had a brilliant time. All of them enjoyed watching the game from the great seats in the Moffat Stand and getting to play on the astro pitch at the back of the stand with the other kids before the game and at half-time.
“Every young person we brought along had been keen to attend the games again afterwards, and they’ve now been to multiple Killie games. Some have even gone on to attend other games with their families after having their first experience at Rugby Park.
“Thanks again to Jordan Allison and everyone at the Killie Community for continuing to provide these incredible opportunities for young people.”
