Praise for support assistant’s professionalism and compassion
We recently received some wonderful feedback for a support assistant within our Social Care Review Team.
In recognition of her “excellent work” and the “reassurance” she provided, Libby Marshall was praised by the family member of a service user she had recently supported:
“I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for one of your staff members, Libby, who was assigned to support my mum following her referral to your service after a hospital admission.
“My mum is elderly and lives with mental health difficulties, which can sometimes make her quite stubborn and difficult to engage with. From the very first phone call, I explained my concerns regarding my mum’s wellbeing, and I immediately felt listened to and understood by Libby.
“Throughout her involvement, Libby was not only there for my mum but also provided me with reassurance and support. She gave me confidence that my mum would be safe in her own home and followed through on everything she said she would do. Her professionalism, compassion, and dedication were evident at every stage.
“What impressed me most was Libby’s ability to build a positive relationship with my mum and gain her trust—something I honestly never thought I would see. Her patience, kindness, and understanding made an enormous difference to us both.
“Libby is an absolute asset to your team, and I wanted to ensure that her excellent work and commitment were recognised. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to her.”
Congratulations to Libby for this incredible work and its unforgettable impact on this service user and her family.
